Why do we give examinations? Why do we require students to do what they do in our courses? We might implicitly know the answers to those questions, but perhaps they're not as evident to our students. This session will introduce a framework for assignment design that will help ensure that our assignments are in alignment with our course goals and thus lead to meaningful student learning.
