Inclusive Syllabus Design
Limited Capacity filling up

In this session, we'll talk about what it means to design courses inclusively, as well as ways in which we can use our syllabus to set an inclusive and motivating tone for the semester. Participants will have a chance to assess their own syllabi through an inclusive lens, as well as discuss some of the evidence-based strategies they can incorporate into their own practices.

Bring a laptop and a syllabus or two to work on during the session!

Backward Assignment Design
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Why do we give examinations? Why do we require students to do what they do in our courses? We might implicitly know the answers to those questions, but perhaps they're not as evident to our students. This session will introduce a framework for assignment design that will help ensure that our assignments are in alignment with our course goals and thus lead to meaningful student learning.
